China’s southern technology hub of Shenzhen shut down Huaqiangbei district, home to the world’s largest electronics wholesale market, as local authorities strengthened measures to contain a fresh Covid-19 outbreak, causing new disruptions to local supply chains. The four-day closure is expected to last until September 1, 2022.
