Michael Sears was an electronics repair technician turned amplifier designer. He used a Casio FX-7700g calculator to design amplifiers and his first model the 2100HDP (prototype 2100HPA shown) was said to produce 100w/ch at 4 ohms and as much as 800W at 2 ohms mono. He also developed many designs for Dr. Crankenstein, including the VERY elusive DC3200 which sold for $2799 and was stated to do nearly 4000 watts of output….in the early 90’s! Unfortunately, Michael passed away in an automobile accident in 1995, well before his time.
