Are dumb phones the solution to our screen addiction? I traded my iPhone for a Light Phone for 30 days to try and find out.

Hi there 👋 If you’re new to my videos my name is Matt D’Avella. I’m a documentary filmmaker, entrepreneur and YouTuber. I’ve made a couple documentaries for Netflix. I also teach courses on everything from filmmaking to habit change. If you like to nerd out about self-development as much as I do, you can subscribe for weekly videos.
Life changer. I have decided to leave Corporate America. Found a small family owned business. BETZ Machine. They do what I dream of. Automaton, robotics, controls, field service. I actually contacted them a few years back, but there were no openings. Now they are wanting to grow, need some new blood. I am that guy. They searched me out, had a great interview, the rest is history. I feel good about this move. I promise to do all in my power to grow this business. I already feel part of the family. If you have automation needs, drop me a line. Betz and D-Lab are now one!
Is your Champ suffering from low gain, unresponsive tone controls, well I have the answer. D-lab electronics can bring new life to your 70’s vintage Fender Champ or Vibro champ. A little fully reversible modification. The initial design was to keep the amp clean/quiet. Not sure why they decided to do this, but to appreciate the full capability of your Champ, I have the solution. My modification by itself will improve performance. However for ultimate performance, a complete capacitor replacement is recommended. So, send your Champ to my shop. I will ensure it is performing above original specifications.

This is the secondly of these S10 amps to strike D-Lab’s bench. At this point the amp powers up, reduced power as expected. If you browse Google for the S10 initial schematic, you will find a dead end.
This is the second of these S10 amps to hit D-Lab’s bench. This one came in with a defective power transformer. Lucky I had a drop in solution. So at this point the amp powers up, low power as expected. Years back, I featured a preamp upgrade so you can use this little guy with an electric guitar. This amp will receive the same operation. If you would like to see the original here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIPzU9op3Tw I will be generating a schematic of the update. If you search Google for the S10 original schematic, you will find a dead end. I will supply a clear accurate update so you can also enjoy this machine. More info to follow. TD
Marine Electronics: Communications mixed-up, Navigation as well as Sailing Apps/ From Sextant to Iridium Go as well as Sailboat navigating via the last 50 years !! Patrick Childress Sailing Videos # 35.
This is a tour of our Chart Table on our Blue water Sailboat, as we are sailing around the world on our Valiant 40. At our Nav terminal we have a variety of aquatic electronic devices for cruising navigating as well as communication while we are at sea consisting of Navionics electronic charting. Our Raymarine chartplotter and also Radar, a Vespermarine AIS Transponder, Iridium GO! as well as Predictwind with Xgate on the IPad Pro are what we make use of currently.
Patrick demonstrates how he navigated his Catalina 27 Juggernaut, circumnavigating in the 1970s without gps, making use of only a sextant, an RDF, as well as paper graphes.
In 2007, we began our circumnavigation with a tiny Raymarine chart plotter and also Tacktick cordless sailing instruments, Navionics electronic graphes, with a laptop, OpenCPN and.kap graphes as a backup sailing boat navigating system. We utilized the Icom 710 SSB radio with a Pactor 3 Modem with Airmail/Winlink/Sailmail for remaining in touch with various other boats as well as our households.
Later we purchased an Ipad with the ideal cruising apps for navigating, as well as digital graphes and cruising applications including Navionics, TimeZero iboat, and also Ovitalmap. The Iridum GO! and also Predictwind for interaction mixed-up, as well as for getting our wind and ocean currents while sailing offshore has actually been a great improvement for aquatic navigation, communications at sea, getting weather mixed-up, and for our safety and security!
All installments were done do it yourself( Note – Some are Amazon Affiliate links and various other affiliate web links of which I might make payments from qualifying acquisitions).
