Special announcement D-Lab Electronics new voyage Shop update New Job

Life changer. I have decided to leave Corporate America. Found a small family owned business. BETZ Machine. They do what I dream of. Automaton, robotics, controls, field service. I actually contacted them a few years back, but there were no openings. Now they are wanting to grow, need some new blood. I am that guy. They searched me out, had a great interview, the rest is history. I feel good about this move. I promise to do all in my power to grow this business. I already feel part of the family. If you have automation needs, drop me a line. Betz and D-Lab are now one!

Leuze Electronics’ Inductive Sensors 208 and 212 Series

Leuze Electronics’ 208 and 212 series inductive sensors are general purpose sensors designed to reliably detect metal objects in a robust, cylindrical package. At M8 or M12 sizes (8mm or 12mm), integrating these standard sensors into an application saves valuable machine space. The large scanning range allows for mounting at a greater distance from moving parts compared to other sensors in their class. With high sensitivity, 208 and 212 sensors are also ideal for special applications that require close-range detection of small parts.

Riding the (quantum magnetic) wave
“Scientists have shown that an organic-based magnet can carry waves of quantum mechanical magnetization, called magnons, and convert those waves to electrical signals.”

Researchers demonstrate pattern recognition using magnonic holographic memory device
“The main challenge associated with magnonic holographic memory is the scaling of the operational wavelength, which requires the development of sub-micrometer scale elements for spin wave generation and detection.”

Magnon transistors could give spintronics a boost

Magnon transistors could give spintronics a boost

“Circuits based on magnons have the potential to be much simpler in design than comparable conventional electronics – while at the same time consuming much less energy.”
