Successful launch paper USAF Rocket D-Lab electronics Launch Control Reports Halloween special C-57D
Test launch of a capacitor powered paper rocket. The launch control facility (LCF) is controlled by an Allen Bradley PLC. 1st attempt failed. Unfortunately the rocket was not able to leave the launch pad. After some advice from fellow YT’ers, I was able to redesign the launch pad, removing the booster from the rocket and incorporating it onto the launch pad. This reduced payload and allowed for a flawless launch! Some of you did not see the value/fun of this experiment. Sorry, but it was fun and educational for me. Thank you to all that have an open mind. Would you like to see another test launch? Happy Halloween from D-Lab!

2022 Kalamazoo Expo MI Ham Antique radio Hamfest Vintage electronics Walk through tour with D-lab
Stroll thru of the Kalamazoo Ham & antique Hamfest. Great deals of great antique radios & ham equipment. Not numerous purchasers. So, a great event if you were wanting to purchase, yet not so great for the vendors. I snagged a very nice Heathkit CW doubles terminal. Had one concerning 40 years back, while based at Vandenberg AFB, CA. Missed them, yet can never find one more clean operational collection. These worked best, plug & play. I intend to utilize them mostly on 40 meter band, 7.115 Mhz. Look for n6tlu calling CQ. Great deals of individuals going to obtain in front of the electronic camera this time around. I handed out 12 Hammared Ham glasses. Wished to do something various this time around. Everyone was pleasant. A terrific radio get-together. I would very recommend it if you have a possibility to go to a Hamfest. An excellent way to be presented to the leisure activity. We require new members! A great Hamfest in Adrian. The local airport hosted the event. Lots of vintage electronics, good people, beautiful weather. Had a great time, picked up a few goodies. Saw lots of nice classics. People were joining in on the video. So, get yourself a drink, sit back and enjoy the walk thru.
