EDT’s Smart Embedded Display shortens time to market – Embedded World 2020 | Electronics Weekly

At Installed World 2020, we overtook Michael Melvang of EDT (Arising Display Technologies), as part of our marketing protection for the event.

He goes over the company’s human-machine-interface platform – its Smart Embedded Display, which is a high-performance industrial TFT screen with capacitive touch panel sensing unit (CTP) as well as cover lens plus incorporated Driving Board (PCB) utilizing STM32 Cortex-M7 MCUs, Flash memeory as well as a FreeRTOS software program GUI.

Many consumers do not need all the user interfaces sustained, so the system can be tuned for their needs, he told us. It offers a shorter time to market, with less transport, stocking and also examination of sub-assemblies, along with decreasing cost and energy intake.

Thanks to Michael for his time.
